Cops nab new player in Lucena drug trade
LUCENA CITY—Police arrested a suspected pusher in a buy-bust operation here on Friday (Sept. 24), describing the arrested man as a new player in the illegal drug trade.
Lt. Col. Romulo Albacea, Lucena police chief, said in a report that anti-drug operatives arrested Mark Anthony Pontiveros, 29, after he sold a pack of shabu, or crystal meth, to an undercover agent at the village of Cotta past 1 p.m.
Authorities seized from Pontiveros five packs of meth worth P32,640, the report said
Police said rehabilitated drug users in the village tipped off police about Pontiveros’s drug trade which led to his arrest.
Pontiveros is now detained at the city police jail.
