San Juan starts listup of teens for vaccines
MANILA, Philippines — San Juan City has started the registration of teenagers for the COVID-19 vaccine, but Mayor Francis Zamora reminded his constituents that “this is just the registration part and we are yet to start the actual vaccination.”
Like other cities, San Juan is still awaiting the go signal from the national government on when to kick off the teen vaccination program.
Also on Wednesday, San Juan relaunched its “Bisikleta Para sa Bakuna” campaign aimed at encouraging unvaccinated people to avail themselves of the jab services.
In 2020, San Juan was one of the three cities recognized as the most bicycle-friendly in Metro Manila in the first-ever Mobility Awards.
Zamora said people should resort to biking because it was the safest, healthiest, and most practical alternative to public transportation amid the pandemic.
