Zambales cops nab murder suspect after hiding in Sorsogon

SAN ANTONIO, Zambales — After five years in hiding, a man facing a murder charge was arrested in Sorsogon province, police here said Wednesday.

Col. Romano Cardiño identified the suspect as Michael Miranda, 40. He is said to be among the most wanted persons in Masinloc town in this province.

Miranda was arrested at Barangay Awaii, Donsol town in Sorsogon on the strength of a warrant issued by Judge Consuelo Amog-Bocar of Regional Trial Court Branch 71 in Iba town with recommended bail of P120,000.

Cardiño said the suspect was brought back to Masinloc where he would be detained.
