COVID-19 death toll in Zambales rises to 297

SAN ANTONIO, Zambales––The number of COVID-19 deaths in this province rose to 297 after 20 more patients died from the viral disease, local data showed on Tuesday, Sept. 21.

The number reflects a 3.78-percent mortality rate out of the 7,856 total COVID-19 cases recorded since last year.

At least 49 new infections were registered Tuesday, bringing the province’s active cases to 1,018.

The same data showed that 73 more patients were cleared from the viral disease, pushing to 6,841 the province’s number of recoveries. It reflects an 87-percent recovery rate.
