Green ends White’s streak
THE GREEN Team skippered by Jingjing Rama arrested the two-game winning streak of the White squad of Boodie Monteño via an 91-73 decision Thursday night at the close of the first round of the Customs Collectors caging dubbed Major Alfonso Abbariao Cup-Biggest Loser-2012 Inter-color basketball tournament at the barangay Basak San Nicolas gym.
Noel Medalle and Rama spearheaded Green by scattering 36 and 30 points, respectively.
Boodie Monteño and Kenneth Maningo paced the White with 18 and 14 points, respectively,
The Green five erected a 7-point lead in the opening period with Rama leading the early assault, unleashing 14 points spiked by four triples.
The team padded its lead into double figures behind Medalle’s long-range shooting, mostly from beyond the arc for 52-35 tally at the half.
Green continued to pounce on the hapless White in stretching its advantage to a commanding 23 points, 77-54, en route to the rout. /pr
