In a separate tweet on Wednesday, David said that the seven-day average of new cases in the region was at 5,854 with a one-week growth rate of 11 percent and 1.34 reproduction number.
He also said that the reproduction number of COVID-19 cases in Metro Manila was at 1.39 last week.
The Department of Health (DOH) has yet to confirm whether this means that COVID-19 cases in Metro Manila are decreasing following the implementation of lockdowns and other health measures.
Metro Manila has 48,381 active cases of the disease as of Wednesday, based on the DOH tracker. Nationwide, there are 170,446 active cases of COVID-19.
