MANILA, Philippines — The intertropical convergence zone or ITCZ will bring overcast skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms over parts of the Bicol region, Visayas, and Mindanao, the state weather bureau said Thursday.
A low-pressure area 135 kilometers east-northeast of Guiuan, Eastern Samar, as of 3 a.m. Thursday is embedded in the ITCZ, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) also said.
The LPA is not expected to intensify into a tropical cyclone, however.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have fair weather but thunderstorms are possible in the afternoon or evening, according to Pagasa.
