Over 700,000 doses of Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine arrive in PH
MANILA, Philippines—More than 700,000 doses of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine procured by the national government arrived in the country on Wednesday night.
The 650,520 doses of Pfizer carried by an Air Hongkong flight arrived past 9 p.m. at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport, as shown on a livestream by state-run PTV.
Some 51,480 doses were also delivered to Cebu at around 6:35 p.m this Wednesday.
Another 51,480 doses of Pfizer are expected to be delivered to Davao on September 16, the National Task Force against COVID-19 said.
With the arrival of the Pfizer vaccines, the country has now so far received more than 57 million COVID-19 vaccine doses since February.
