MANILA, Philippines — A “possible alliance” may be brewing between the revived political party Partido Reporma and the PDP-Laban faction of Senator Manny Pacquiao.

Pacquiao met with Davao del Norte 1st District Rep. Pantaleon Alvarez, who serves as the president of the Partido Reporma, on Wednesday afternoon.

Sharing a photo of the meeting, Alvarez said: “Discussing 2022 and possible alliances with old friends from PDP-Laban.”

Meanwhile, Pacquiao has yet to announce his political plans for next year as he faces the infighting within the PDP-Laban, which has earlier nominated Senator Bong Go and President Rodrigo Duterte as their presidential and vice president presidential candidates.

The infighting within PDP-Laban has resulted in two factions forming—one headed by Pacquiao and another by Energy Secretary Alfonso Cusi. The latter supports the Go-Duterte tandem.
