Active COVID-19 cases in Zambales hit new record-high at 1,054

SAN ANTONIO, Zambales––The total number of active COVID-19 cases in this province rose to 1,054 on Monday (Sept. 13), the highest since the pandemic struck last year.

The latest data from the provincial health office showed that 92 of these infections were registered on the same day, pushing to 7,257 the total confirmed cases in the province.

The number of recoveries has reached 6,266 as 74 more patients have healed Monday from the viral disease.

It reflected an 86.3-percent recovery rate, which is lower compared to 88.4 percent last week.

The province’s COVID-19 death toll stood at 237, with no deaths reported in the past few days.
