The shipment aboard a Philippine Airlines flight arrived around 7:20 a.m. at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport as shown on a livestream by state-run PTV.
The jabs were welcomed by the National Task Force against COVID-19 (NTF) chief implementer and vaccine czar Carlito Galvez Jr. and NTF special adviser Dr. Ted Herbosa.
The country has now so far received some 56.5 million COVID-19 vaccine doses, which were either procured or donated, since February.
To date, more than 15.8 million persons have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19 in the Philippines.
