2 dead in Cavite road accident

LUCENA CITY—Two persons died in a road accident in General Trias City in Cavite province before midnight on Friday.

General Trias police reported that Jay Madlangbayan, while driving his sedan car with Aiza de Guzman as passenger, accidentally hit a road barrier, causing the vehicle to spin and consequently slam into a concrete post in Barangay (village) Pasong Kawayan 1 at around 11:20 p.m.

Madlangbayan, a councilor in Barangay Pasong Camachile 2, and De Guzman both sustained grave injuries.

They were taken by rescuers to General Trias Medicare Hospital, but died along the way.
