MANILA, Philippines — More than 500,000 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine developed by AstraZeneca were delivered to the Philippines on Friday.

The latest vaccine shipment comprising 502,000 doses arrived around 9:30 a.m. at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 1, as shown on a livestream by state-run PTV.

The National Task Force against COVID-19 said this batch of AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine was procured by the private sector through a tripartite agreement with the national government under the “Dose of Hope” initiative.
