Father, son found dead on Basilan city highway
ZAMBOANGA CITY—A man and his son were found dead on the highway at a village in Isabela City, Basilan province past 9 a.m. on Tuesday (Sept. 7).
Brig. General Domingo Gobway, commander of the Joint Task Force Basilan, said the bodies were identified to be that of Alfatta Sapie Kaal, 60, and Kaal’s son Adin Daimon, 20.
“We were informed that the motive (of the killing) could be family feud, however, we still don’t have the details of the circumstances,” Gobway said.
He said authorities already identified the suspect as Bahri Hadjirul and the weapon used as a 9 mm pistol. Bullet shells were found at the crime scene.
Gobway said he had asked the 19th Special Forces Company and Isabela City police for help in hunting the suspect down.
