Man stabbed dead by drinking buddy in Batangas

LUCENA CITY––A drinking session Sunday between two friends turned bloody after one of them stabbed and killed the other in Calatagan town in Batangas province, the police said Monday.

The Calatagan police said in a report that Christian Solis, 33, and Rido Feliciano, 39, were having a drink around 7 p.m. in Barangay Poblacion 2.

A heated argument ensued, leading to a physical confrontation until Feliciano stabbed Solis on his chest and back using a bladed weapon.

Solis and Feliciano, who also suffered injuries, were taken to a hospital in Calatagan, but the former died on the way.

Feliciano is confined at the hospital but under the custody of the police while the investigation continues.
