VP Robredo back to work in office after quarantine
MANILA, Philippines — Vice President Leni Robredo will return to work in her office on Monday after her 14-day quarantine finishes on Sunday.
“‘Di ko naramdaman ‘yung quarantine ko kasi ang dami naming trabaho. So, work from home kami. So, bukas regular schedule kasi sa opisina na ulit ako,” Robredo said during the BISErbisyong LENI program on DZXL.
(I did not feel I was quarantined because we have lots of work. We are on a work-from-home setup. So, tomorrow, regular schedule as I will be going to the office.)
Robredo shared that many workers in her office are under quarantine as the staffer who tested positive for COVID-19 was exposed to office personnel.
Despite this, close contacts of the COVID-19 patient yielded negative COVID-19 test results.
Robredo attributed the containment of the virus to how her office complies with health protocols.

“Pangalawa, meron kami sa labas ng mga pinto namin, meron nakalagay kung ilan lang ‘yung pwedeng tao sa loob. ‘Pag more than that, meron na kaming mga upuan sa labas na dun ka,” she added.
(Second, we have a sign outside our doors indicating how many individuals can enter the room. If the room’s full, we have seats outside.)
Robredo likewise stressed the importance of eating away from one another to curb virus spread.
“Ang pangatlo na tingin ko pinaka-mahalaga, ‘yung walang kumakain nang sabay-sabay. Kasi ‘pag kumakain ng sabay-sabay, dun talaga naghahawaan kasi tinatanggal mo ‘yung mask,” she explained.
(Third, and I think this is the most important, is that staff do not eat together. Because if you eat together, that’s when transmission happens as the mask is removed.)
To recall, Robredo started her quarantine on August 24, and then she was tested negative for COVID-19 on August 30.
