LUCENA CITY – Police reported Sunday that a 50-year-old woman was shot and killed inside a jewelry shop she owned in Talisay town in Batangas province Saturday morning.

Talisay police reported that the still unidentified gunman entered the jewelry shop in Barangay (village) Sampaloc and pretended to be a customer to the victim Victoria Balba at around 10:45 a.m.

As Balba was entertaining the prospective buyer, who was wearing a white T-shirt and jeans and described to be about 50 to 55 years old, small built with thin white hair, the man suddenly pulled out a handgun and shot the victim in her head, investigations revealed.
