6 persons, including minor, nabbed in Puerto Princesa City buy-bust
CITY OF CALAPAN – Six individuals, including a minor, were arrested by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and police personnel in a suspected drug den in Puerto Princesa City in Palawan province on Saturday afternoon, reports said Sunday.
The suspects were identified as John Mark Zabanal, 37; Patricia Magnifico, 30; Elijah Romasanta; Camille Andrade, 18; and Angelica Canja, 26. A 16-year-old local resident was also arrested along with other suspects when operatives swooped down the alleged den in Barangay (village) Sta. Monica at 5:45 p.m. Saturday (Sept. 4).
It was not immediately known who owned the building that was being used as a drug den by the suspects.
The joint operatives confiscated seven pieces of suspected shabu (crystal meth) weighing about 10 grams and valued at P68,000.
Also seized from them was a matchbox containing suspected dried marijuana weighing about 0.5 grams and valued at P1,000.
Suspects are detained at PDEA Palawan custodial facility and facing charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
