Man nabbed in Palawan town drug buy-bust

CITY OF CALAPAN – A man was arrested in a buy-bust operation in Coron town in Palawan province on Monday afternoon, according to a report from Mimaropa (Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, Palawan) office.

Police, in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Mimaropa, arrested Roderick Gai, 42, at 2:48 p.m. after selling a plastic sachet of suspected shabu (crystal meth) to a poseur buyer for P2,000 in Barangay Poblacion 1.

Also confiscated from the suspect, who is a resident of Barangay Poblacion 2, were five sachets of suspected shabu weighing about 0.80 grams worth P5,000.

The suspect is under police custody and is facing charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
