Monsoon trough brings rainy weather over Palawan; rest of PH to get fair weather
MANILA, Philippines — Palawan will experience cloudy and rainy weather as a monsoon trough remains the dominant weather system in the country, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said on Saturday.
A monsoon trough is a portion of the intertropical convergence zone where low-pressure areas usually form.
While the monsoon trough prevails nationwide, Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience fair weather although there are chances of isolated rains due to localized thunderstorms, according to Pagasa’s daily weather forecast issued at 4 p.m.
Meanwhile, no gale warning was raised in any of the waters nationwide as the rest of the country is set to have a slight to moderate sea condition with 0.6 to 2.1 meters of waves, according to the state weather bureau.
