DPWH worker nabbed for alleged possession of marijuana

ORMOC CITY — Law enforcers arrested a job order employee from the Department of Public Ways and Highways (DPWH) in Eastern Samar for possession of dried marijuana leaves in Barangay Alang-alang, Borongan City, Eastern Samar on 12 noon on Thursday, Sept 2.

Ken Villanueva is facing charges for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

Lt. Col Romeo Santander, chief of the Borongan Police Station, said the suspect claimed that the marijuana leaves were for his personal use only.

But Santander said the bigger sachet is intended for the fiesta celebration in the city on September 8.
