Outsiders, who want to enter or pass through Ormoc City but are not totally vaccinated, have to present a negative antigen or swab test result taken 72 hours earlier.

They have also to present a QR card for them to allow entry to the city. Ormoc City is one of the areas in Eastern Visayas with rising new cases of COVID-19.

On Friday, Sept. 2, Ormoc posted 43 new coronavirus cases, bringing its total cases to 2,860 since the pandemic started last March 2020. It currently has 165 active cases with 2,641 recoveries and 54 deaths.

Gomez reminded residents to strictly follow all the health protocols to stop the spread of the virus.
