OLONGAPO CITY––At least 71 new cases of COVID-19 were registered Thursday in this city, among its highest single-day tallies since the pandemic struck last year.

The local task force said the new infections raised to 4,014 its total number of COVID-19 cases. Among the new patients are those 14 to 82 years old.

The city’s active cases have jumped to 666.

Patients who healed numbered 26, bringing to 3,138 its total recoveries. This reflecting a 76-percent recovery rate, down from 78 percent the previous week. INQ
