MANILA, Philippines—Another low pressure area was seen off the coast of southern Mindanao, the state-run weather bureau said Tuesday.

In its latest weather forecast, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said that the latest weather disturbance was seen 490 kilometers east of southern Mindanao and was embedded along the intertropical convergence zone affecting parts of Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.

Southern Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao will experience mostly cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms. Rains will become cloudy over Eastern Mindanao which may trigger flashfloods and landslides, Pagasa warned. Meanwhile, the rest of Luzon will experience partly cloudy to at times cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms mostly in the afternoon or evening.

“Moderate to strong winds blowing from the East to Southeast will prevail over Luzon and Eastern Visayas and the coastal waters along these areas will be moderate to rough. Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate blowing from the southwest and southeast with slight to moderate seas,” Pagasa said.
