CA panel approves nomination of AFP general, 39 ad interim appointments

MANILA, Philippines — A panel of the Commission on Appointments (CA) moved to recommend one nomination and 39 ad interim appointments of senior officials of the Armed Forces of the Philippines on Wednesday.
The nomination of Jeffrey Vilela to the rank of brigadier general was approved by the CA Committee on National Defense.
The following ad interim appointments were likewise confirmed:

Joel Sobrera to the rank of colonel, Philippine Army
James Sababan to the rank of colonel, Philippine Army
Jones Brisal Otida to the rank of colonel, Philippine Army

Following the committee’s concurrence, the recommendation will be transmitted to the CA plenary for approval.
