2 more elderly residents in Olongapo succumb to COVID-19

OLONGAPO CITY—Two more elderly residents in this city died due to COVID-19 complications, local data showed on Monday.

The two fatalities, 61 and 76 years old, brought to 205 the city’s COVID-19 deaths. Two other senior citizens in the city died due to the viral disease the previous day.

The local task force said the city’s active COVID-19 cases rose further to 628 with 31 new infections.

Among the latest cases are two children aged 1 and 6. The eldest case is an 83-year-old man from Barangay Mabayuan.

Data show that at least 26 more recoveries were added to the city’s COVID-19 data, pushing to 3,053 the recoveries. It reflected a 78.5 percent recovery rate.
