MANDAUE’S NIGHT MARKET
VENDORS who failed to avail of stalls in the new Mandaue City Public market will have to chance to sell their goods in the new market at night.
The Mandaue City government will launch today the Night Market at the rooftop of the new public market at the North Reclamation Area.
This would also be a chance for the 17 ambulant vendors prohibited from doing business in the old public market to sell their goods, said City Market administrator Mossulini Suliva.
Suliva said that the night market would be done every night starting today.

GARBAGE WOES IN LAPU
THE Lapu-Lapu City government and barangay Pajo officials are asked to act on the complaints of residents living below the first Mandaue-Mactan bridge about the garbage dumped in their area.
Sacks and plastics of garbage were seen below the bridge in the Lapu-Lapu side, which caused a bad smell in the area and allegedly caused some children to suffer diarrhea, said Environmentalist and Air shed Governing Board member, Vince Cinches.
Lorna Roble, 36, a resident living below the bridge, said that the residents there saw barangay Pajo trucks dumping their garbage in the areas since two months ago.
She said and on every Saturday, barangay officials would segregate the garbage and cover them with soil.
Despite this, she said the odor from the garbage would still persist. /Correspondent Fe Marie D. Dumaboc
