SHOOTING

A 24-YEAR-OLD man walking home with a friend was shot dead by two motorcycle-riding perpetrators in barangay Linao, Talisay City, last Sunday dawn.
Arnel Malinao Sigundino was shot in the head and face.
He was walking home from a benefit dance when he was attacked, said PO3 Mikie Espina, Talisay police investigator.
Police said the backrider got off and fired twice at the victim while his friend, Manuel Caparida, ran for his life.
PO3 Espina said witnesses came forward but the gunmen remain unidentified. A personal grudge could be the motive of the crime, he added. CORRESPONDENT GABRIEL BONJOC
