THE Cebu Amateur Football Club (CAFC) has sent out invitations for this summer’s 12th Cebu Interclub Football Cup.

The tournament, considered as one of the biggest outside Manila, will be held May 19 to 27 at the football fields of the University of San Carlos-Technological Center, San Roque and PAREF Springdale.

Teams are urged to register early since only a selection of 10 teams will be made to see action in a total of six categories.

CAFC president Glenn Quisido said the club is also mulling an exhibition match either by the Azkals—the Philippine national men’s team—or any available team from the United Football League (UFL).

The CAFC is the first Cebu club to have sent a team—the Queen City United—to compete in the UFL starting last year.

CAFC will arrange for the free accommodation of teams coming from outside Cebu at the dormitory of the Cebu City Sports Center as well as transportation within the city during the tournament.

All teams except for those playing in the players 10 must be comprised of 25 players, three officials and one officiating official. The players 10 teams will only have a maximum of 18 players.

Registration fee for the men’s open and 40 above is pegged at P5,000 while all age-group categories will have a registration fee of P1,000.

Deadline of confirmation, payment of registration fee and coaches meeting will be held on April 14, 6 p.m. at Jollibee Mango Avenue.
