ORMOC CITY––A graduating college student and his cousin were killed Thursday after a six-wheeler truck hit their motorcycle along the National Highway in Barangay Tugbong, Kananga town, Leyte.

Kananga police station chief Major Ariel Salarda identified the casualties as Joseph Sanchez, 22, and his cousin, a 15-year-old student.

Initial investigation showed that the motorcycle overtook a sedan vehicle at the intersection going to Kananga town proper and suddenly turned left but did not notice the six-wheeler truck.
