Angeles City logs 90 more COVID-19 patients; active cases now at 1,270

MABALACAT CITY, Pampanga — The active COVID-19 cases in Angeles City rose to 1,270 after the city government recorded 90 new infections on Wednesday, August 25.

Sto. Domingo village, which has the most active cases in the city at 134, registered four new cases.

The other new cases were residents of the villages of Balibago, Cutcut, and Pulung Maragul.

Data also showed that the city logged three deaths related to the viral disease on the same day. They were residents of Amis, Cutcut, and Pulung Maragul villages.

In Mabalacat City, 43 new cases were reported on Wednesday, bringing its active cases to 645. It also recorded 72 new recoveries and zero deaths.

It registered a total of 5,361 since the onset of the pandemic last year. Of these, 4,560 have recovered while 156 have died.
