Subic cops nab 7 suspects in ‘drug den’

SAN ANTONIO, Zambales––The police arrested seven suspects and dismantled an alleged drug den during a bust-bust operation Thursday in Subic town.
Col. Romano Cardiño, provincial police director, said one of the suspects, Manuel Catapang, 36, sold shabu (crystal meth) to an undercover agent during the operation in Barangay Cawag. Catapang is on the province’s drug watch list.
The others arrested, who were sniffing shabu, were Ronald Soriano, 24; Joselito Ong, 48; Michael Janawid, 37; Aisa Balani, 24; Nul-Amda Jali, 33; and Snira Jalil, 53.
The police said they recovered at least nine sachets with 13.9 grams of shabu worth P90,350 and several drug paraphernalia in that operation.
