Indonesia approves Russia’s Sputnik V vaccine for emergency use

JAKARTA — Indonesia has approved Russia’s Sputnik V COVID-19 vaccine for emergency use in the Southeast Asian country, Penny Lukito, the head of the food and drug agency (BPOM), told parliament on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, the Philippines’ Food and Drug Administration (FDA) on Monday granted an emergency use authorization (EUA) to Russia’s single-dose COVID-19 vaccine, Sputnik Light.
