7.2 million students, so far, sign up for SY 2021-2022 — DepEd
MANILA, Philippines — Some 7.2 million learners have so far registered for School Year 2021-2022, the Department of Education (DepEd) said on Monday.
Based on DepEd’s enrollment data, a total of 7,249,765 students have signed up as of early Monday morning, including 4,557,327 early registrants.
A total of 2,570,377 enrolled in public schools while 118,997 were listed in private learning institutions.
Enrollees in state and local universities and colleges reached 3,064.
The Calabarzon (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, Quezon) region still has the most number of enrollees (1,153,088), followed by Metro Manila (688,668) and Central Luzon (676,093).
The Cordillera Administrative Region, on the other hand, recorded the lowest number of enrollees (114,852).

The blended learning system will still be implemented wherein students get their lessons online, through television or radio programs, or printed modules.
