Active COVID-19 cases in Angeles City breach 900-mark

ANGELES CITY––The active COVID-19 cases in this city surpassed the 900-mark after 122 new patients and 23 recoveries were recorded on Tuesday, Aug. 17.

The city also registered a single death in Barangay Pulung Maragul, bringing its total COVID-19 fatality to 356.

Barangay Sto. Domingo, which borders the City of San Fernando, has the highest new cases at 26, followed by Anunas village with 14, and Margot village with 12 new cases.

This city has recorded a total of 8,342 COVID-19 cases since the pandemic began last year. Its total recovery is at 7,068.

In the neighboring Mabalacat City, the active COVID-19 cases climbed to 532, including 41 new ones on Tuesday.

The component city had recorded 4,979 COVID-19 cases since last year. Of these, 4,296 recovered, while 151 have died.
