MMDA suspends payment of traffic violation tickets at redemption center

MANILA, Philippines — Payment of traffic violation tickets at the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) Redemption Center is suspended starting Tuesday amid a surge in COVID-19 cases.

“Dahil sa patuloy na pagtaas ng bilang ng kaso ng COVID-19 at para malimitahan ang face to face transactions sa gitna ng pandemya, suspendido muna ang pagbabayad ng traffic violations sa MMDA Redemption Center sa Makati simula ngayong araw, Agosto 17,” the MMDA said in a statement.

(Due to the continuing rise in COVID-19 cases and to limit face-to-face transactions amid the pandemic, payment of traffic violations at the MMDA Redemption Center in Makati is suspended starting today, August 17.)
