210 suspected law violators nabbed in Quezon
LUCENA CITY––Police arrested 210 suspected law violators in Quezon province, including 42 alleged drug pushers, in three days of synchronized operations.
Col. Joel Villanueva, Quezon police chief, reported on Monday afternoon that authorities seized 108.76 grams of shabu (crystal meth) during the Simultaneous Anti-Criminality and Law Enforcement Operation (Sacleo) from Aug. 13 to 15 in 39 towns and two cities.
Over the weekend, the police arrested two suspected big-time drug pushers who yielded over P1.3 million worth of shabu in two separate buy-bust operations in Pagbilao town.
They also arrested 57 wanted criminals, 81 illegal gamblers, 21 illegal fishers, three with undocumented firearms, and six illegal loggers.
At least 8,884 persons were also accosted during the same period for violation of the quarantine and other safety and health protocols amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
The violators were issued citation tickets, warned, made to render community service, reprimanded, and paid administrative fines for not wearing face masks, face shields, and not observing physical distancing.
