MANILA, Philippines — The New Cupang Health Center Vaccination Site in Muntinlupa City will be extending its operating hours starting Monday for the launching of the “Bakuna sa Gabi” program.

The “Bakuna sa Gabi,” which will start from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., seeks to inoculate against COVID-19 the economic frontliners or those under the A4 priority group.

“Cupang Health Center will start today to vaccinate A4s, (preferably Muntinlupeno), but will also allow those working in the city. Today they will start at 5 p.m., end at 9 p.m.,” Tess Navarro, Muntinlupa City’s public information officer, said in a statement.

The local government is targeting to vaccinate 700 individuals who were notified by the Muntinlupa City COVID-19 Vaccination Program (Muncovac).

Navarro said that individuals scheduled for the immunization will be allowed to leave their residences despite the enhanced community quarantine imposed in Metro Manila.

“They are exempted from the curfew. They will just have to show their confirmation text to checkpoints, if ever,” Navarro noted.

A Muncovac Facebook post announced that British-Swedish drugmaker AstraZeneca’s COVID-19 vaccine would be allotted for the program launch.
