Only fully vaccinated tourists can enter Clark Freeport

ANGELES CITY––The Clark Development Corp. (CDC) now requires full vaccination cards from tourists entering the Clark Freeport Zone for leisure purposes, the state-owned firm announced on Sunday, Aug. 15.
The CDC said in an advisory that those coming from areas under enhanced community quarantine, the strictest form of quarantine, are required to present a negative reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction test taken 48 hours before their visit to Clark.
Authorized persons outside of residence, particularly those working or doing business in Clark, are exempt from the vaccination card requirement.
The CDC said COVID-19 control points would be set up at Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway’s two entrances to Clark starting Monday.
It said minimum health standards like mandatory wearing of face masks and observance of physical distancing would be enforced in the free port. Violators would be penalized.
Dine-in is still allowed at 50-percent capacity in restaurants inside the free port, the CDC said.
