LUCENA CITY––A motorcycle driver died, and his backrider was seriously injured in a freak road accident Thursday in Carmona town in Cavite province.

The Carmona police said Friday that a motorcycle driven by Ruel Banaag hit the center island along the highway in Barangay Maduya at 11:15 p.m.

Both motorcycle riders managed to jump off from the vehicle, landed on the pavement unharmed, but consequently got under an oncoming truck driven by Samuel Dagondon, the report said.
