Over 50,000 residents in Zambales fully vaccinated vs COVID-19

SAN ANTONIO, Zambales — The number of fully inoculated residents in the province rose to 50, 908 on Tuesday (Aug. 10) after 1,296 more eligible recipients got their complete dose of the jabs against COVID-19 in the recent mass vaccine rollout of the provincial government.

The latest data from the provincial health office showed that the total number of fully jabbed residents represents 12.7 percent of the target population.

So far, a total of 22,491 residents received the Janssen vaccine of Johnson & Johnson, 19,558 received Sinovac, and 8,859 received AstraZeneca.

There were 41,668 residents who already received the first dose of AstraZeneca and Sinovac COVID-19 vaccines and are still waiting for the second dose.

The province needs to vaccinate 400,000 of its 590,800 residents to achieve herd immunity.
