COVID-19 infects 10 more cops in Central Luzon

OLONGAPO CITY — At least 10 more policemen in Central Luzon have contracted COVID-19, local virus data showed on Tuesday (Aug. 10).

The new cases among the personnel of Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) pushed its active cases to 96 out of the 2,037 total infections recorded since last year.

Based on the data from the health service of the PR03, 19 new recoveries were also registered on the same day.

So far, at least 1,936 PRO3 personnel have been cleared of the viral disease, reflecting a 95-percent recovery rate.

PRO3’s death toll still stood at five with no new deaths being recorded in the past few weeks. INQ
