TRUCK HITS Capitol OFFICIAL’s CAR

A GARBAGE truck yesterday swerved and hit the Toyota Hilux of a Capitol offical along the South Coastal Road (SCR) in Talisay City, southern Cebu.

The driver and passenger Provincia Board Member Peter John Calderon were unharmed in the impact.

Calderon was on his way to the Capitol for a meeting when the mishap occured.

The garbage truck and Toyota Hi-Lux with plate number SHT-458 were traveling in the same direction.

Truck driver Jesus Ondoy, 40, told police that he was trying to avoid an oncoming 10-wheeler truck and swerved to the right, hitting the Hilux.

LAPU-LAPU POLICE REShUFFLE

EIGHT police officials are affected in a reshuffle of the Lapu-Lapu City Police Office that took effect last Wednesday.

The changes stemmed from vacancies left by some police officials who are on schooling.

Senior Insp. Jacinto Mandal is the new traffic division chief. He used to head the Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT).

Senior Insp. Conrado Manatad was named the new chief of station 2 in barangay Mactan.

His previous post in station 5 in barangay Pusok is now headed by Senior Insp. William Homoc.

Senior Insp. Gerald Suquib replaced Homoc as chief of the Theft and Robbery Section.
