MANILA, Philippines — The Manila City government on Monday broke ground for the fifth housing project of Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso’s administration in Sta. Cruz. The 20-story building will be named San Lazaro Residences.

“Dito sa in-city vertical housing program ng lungsod, wala ng magiging iskwater. May kapanatagan na ang mga pamilyang nag-benepisyo at magbebenepisyo habangbuhay,” the local chief executive said during the ground-breaking ceremony.

The vertical housing project consists of 382 housing units, a health center, a swimming pool, activity lawn, function room, roof garden, and roof deck, according to the local government.

In July, Manila City unveiled 229 townhouse-style units dubbed as Basecommunity in Tondo.

The Moreno administration’s other in-city housing projects were Tondominium 1, Tondominium 2, and Binondominium. The construction of these buildings is ongoing, the city government noted.
