MANILA, Philippines — A total of 326,400 Moderna COVID-19 vaccines arrived at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport on Sunday.
Vaccine czar Carlito Galvez said the procured vaccines are part of the tripartite agreement between the national government and the International Container Terminal Services Inc. (ICTSI) foundation.
Of the Moderna doses, 224,400 are for the Philippine government while 102,000 are for the ICTSI.
“I would like to thank the private sector for taking part in this tripartite agreement, we have received 326,400 of Moderna, and this is one of our major procurements with the ICTSI,” Galvez said in a press briefing after the arrival ceremony.
“Ang bibigyan natin nito ‘yung mga areas na may surge at saka sa Metro Manila,” Galvez added.
(We will give these vaccines to the areas with a surge and in Metro Manila.)
