SUBIC BAY FREEPORT—The Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA) has temporarily banned the entry of its residents and other individuals returning from areas under the strictest quarantine classifications.
In an advisory Thursday, Aug. 5, the agency said the travel restriction complies with the latest resolution of the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF).
The SBMA cited IATF Resolution No.130-A that placed the National Capital Region under enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) from Aug. 6 to 20. ECQ is the strictest form of quarantine.
Also covered by the travel restriction are those coming from areas on modified enhanced community quarantine, the second most restrictive quarantine classification.
But the SBMA said the temporary policy would exempt those involved in essential travel, seeking medical treatment, and authorized persons outside their residence. INQ
