DepEd releases school calendar for SY 2021-2022
MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Education (DepEd) on Thursday released its calendar and activities for school year (SY) 2021-2022, along with a list of school activities.
In DepEd Order No. 29, the department said that face-to-face classes will remain prohibited.
“The conduct of face-to-face classes, whether partial or full scale, will not be allowed unless permitted by the Office of the President,” DepEd said.
It also confirmed President Rodrigo Duterte has approved DepEd’s recommendation to start the SY on September 13, 2021.
The school year will be composed of 209 school days — inclusive of Saturdays, and the five-day mid-year break — and shall end on June 24, 2022.
