300 seafarers receive Moderna’s COVID-19 vaccine in Olongapo City

OLONGAPO CITY—A special COVID-19 vaccination drive in this city on Tuesday benefited about 300 seafarers, who were given the first dose of the vaccine made by the U.S pharmaceutical firm Moderna, according to the Olongapo City Information Center.

The vaccination was organized by the Maritime Industry Authority (Marina) and held at the SMX Convention Center in coordination with the local government.

Among the recipients of the Moderna vaccine for seafarers were members of the Philippine Coast Guard.

Moderna vaccine requires second doses within a 28-day interval.
