Free train rides for vaccinated commuters from Aug. 3 to end of ECQ – DOTr
MANILA, Philippines — Vaccinated train commuters may now avail themselves of free rides in the Light Rail Transit 2 (LRT-2), Manila Metro Rail Transit 3 (MRT-3) and Philippine National Railways (PNR) starting on August 3 until the end of lockdown in Metro Manila, the Department of Transportation Sec. Arthur Tugade said on Monday.
“Simula bukas, libre na ang pamasahe ng mga bakunadong APOR (Authorized Persons Outside of Residence), kahit nakaka-isa o dalawang dose na ang mga ito,” said Tugade in a statement.
(Starting tomorrow, train rides will now be free to vaccinated APOR regardless of the number of doses they have completed.)
According to Tugade, commuters need only to present their vaccinations cards as proof of inoculation to get a free ride.
