Eleazar lauds Pagadian cops for clean station, zero COVID case among ranks
PAGADIAN CITY, Zamboanga del Sur—Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief General Guillermo Lorenzo Eleazar lauded the members of the Pagadian City police for keeping their ranks safe from the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) during his surprise visit here on Monday.
Talking to the police personnel inside the station compound, Eleazar commended the Pagadian police team for posting a zero COVID-19 case from among the troops; which could only meant, they were extra careful from getting infected, Pagadian City police chief Lt. Col. Joenery Ojas said.
Eleazar inspected the station for cleanliness and commended the police personnel for exceeding his expectations even as he reminded them to keep up the good sanitation always.
“Ipakita [natin] sa mga kababayan ang tunay na mukha ng PNP [Let’s show our people the real face of the PNP],” he said. “Hindi yung (tulad ng) iilang pulis na gumagawa ng kalokohan dahil yun ang nakikita ng iba [Let’s not do the foolishness of other men in uniform because that’s always what people see],” Eleazar said.
During his visit, the Pagadian local government turned over to the Pagadian police two pick up vehicles, eight single motorcycles and two tricycles while the Zamboanga del Sur provincial government donated 16 patrol cars to the Zamboanga del Sur police provincial office to be distributed later to the towns that would need the vehicles most.
